“Your book on Smart City is like the Kotler’s book on Marketing. It sets the structural framework of the concept and it should be the primary textbook on Smart”, the publisher had exclaimed upon studying my manuscript.

I was thrilled. But then got worried. “What about the few politically incorrect things I have said?” Things like, slavery and loot having made the greatest cities in the earlier centuries? “And how about the language?”.

Academics like tough words and a dull writing style – for them it is the academic rigor. And, business consultants like to say a lot in a 30-page report, but then at the end, you don’t you what you’ve just read. I am not compliant to either style.

We have left it the way it was, and we are indeed targeting the educated class for the book.

On Amazon or in stores on 26th.
